SaniPeg^® Adults 10 g

SaniPeg ³ is indicated to treat the typical symptoms of constipation (reduced frequency and difficulty in evacuation, hard stools, heaviness and bloating, flatulence, meteorism, etc.) and to prevent the formation of fecal difficulty to expel.

Macrogol is a water-soluble inert polymer with a high molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake by retaining it in the feces.

It causes rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by aiding peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid

1 to 4 sachets daily. Suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.

 The dose should be increased or decreased according to individual response to treatment to allow for the regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.

Dissolve in water or other liquid (125 ml per sachet) and take immediately. It is recommended that the product be taken in the morning if the minimum dose is taken (1 sachet per day). For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.

If there is no improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Do not take Sanipeg^® in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components; intestinal perforation, obstruction, or stenosis; paralytic ileus; severe inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, toxic megacolon).

The use of laxatives is contraindicated in cases of acute abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.

Some gastrointestinal complaints (stomachache, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea, and fecal incontinence) may occur. Diarrhea is a side effect of overdose; it can be avoided by decreasing the dose.

Hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have rarely been reported following the use of products containing macrogol. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor
